10 years ago, the Bush administration hoodwinked the American people into a bloody war and even bloodier occupation of another country that had nothing to do with the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. Today, Iraq is still a dangerous country without a true democratic government in place. The total cost of the Iraq War was over $2 trillion, 4,486 dead U.S. soldiers, and over 100,000 civilian deaths.
Thank God almighty that Jean Chrétien was prime minister at the time and kept Canada out of the war.
